Don't forget Umbra's weightless because it's a quest item.

Unless you tell Clavicus that you're keeping it, so don't talk to Clavicus.

If you have KoTN then the Crusader's armour is good, but it only comes in Heavy.

If you don't tell Clavicus that you're keeping it though, that Daedric Quest remains incomplete.

Which stops you doing the last Daedric Quest of Hermaeus Mora (only accessible from lvl 21+) As that quest requires you to have completed all the other Daedric Quests.

This last Daedric Quest is worth doing as you get a book that gives you the following 3 paths of attribute increases:

Steel: Adds 10 points to strength, speed, blade, blunt, and heavy armour.
Shadow: Adds 10 points to speed, acrobatics, light armour, security, and sneak.
Spirit: Adds 10 points to intelligence, alteration, conjuration, destruction, and restoration

So it's worth completing all the Daedric Quests & accepting the sacrifice of having a weighted kick-*** sword compared to a weightless kick-*** sword!

I find that by the time I do the Harmaeus Mora quest my stats are so high that the boosts have no effect. So I don't bother. It's just a shame that the only stat that has any effect over 100 is strength, and there are several bits of armour which boost that.

Was anyone here cruelly tricked into giving Martin Azura's Star for the Daedric Artifact part of the MQ?

I'm so glad I played the game a lot before I started the MQ, and gave him Wabberjack :D

Daedric armor you mean.

I'll give you a tip though, Umbra is located outside the imperial city, vilverin or something. Anyway I found it hard to kill her at a low level. I got her armor and sword at like level 10. Did it by sitting in the piece of rock cracked off so she can't run up and get you or get you from beneath alough depending on how you sit she could get you but I managed eventually to get it without her hitting me. Basically get the arrows, go through the dark brotherhood and theres one of the members of the DB that have a chest in the room pick it and they should have fire arrows, take them, they take massive damage off umbra, takes 2 or 3 to kill her.

i forgot about this mod.. one spend's all that time looking for nirnroot's just for nighteye! this makes them worth looking for:

i like to put them all on intel once it hits max, so i can make up some mean combo spells that require a large pool of magika.. you can get some cool side effects too.

the basic outline of a touch spell, in order:
100% weakness to everything for 2 seconds longer than the damage effect's
soul trap
shock damage...
fire damage...
frost damage...
fortify 100pts willpower for blah seconds, blah being time required to recharge the magika pool.

it takes a bit of tweaking (save/create/fail/reload/success/continue) to get the willpower timing right. the side effect is that the damage effects stick to your body for as long as the fortify willpower is active.. it only shows two effects though (first and last) and as fire gets in the way during a scrap, thats not such a bad thing. it's the ultimate master spell..
