I just bought Shivering isles but im wondering, since the knight of the nine required you had patch 1.1 or w.e does this require the latest patch? because I can't seem to install the latest patch keeps giving an error.
 
Oblivion in 90% of cases, give you an error when you attempt to patch. It's actually done it anyway. Take a look on the bottom left of the title screen for the version number.
 
I belive the latest 1.2 patch is included on the Shivering isles DVD anyway, and should install when you install the expansion. I think. ;)

Also, sometimes if a patch fails, it means you have the wrong patch for your game. There are two english patches, the north american one and the european one depending where you bought the game.
 
Well I dunno I'll install the expansion but for the record the error it gets to 8% then pops up saying the following error:

"Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No updates were done since file contents do not match"

Yes I do have mods installed such as texture mods but I wouldn't have thought it would cause this :(.
