Obscure and weird forums

Don't mention srp, got banned after five posts. All i did was mention i had a gold dollar.

Hate the place.

I just wish they weren't all so "yee haww" over there, there are some decent guys but others are total nutjobs.

One of the mods was posting yesterday about his kids (younger than 13 I think) first session on the range with a .45 1911 Colt, cue lots of people backslapping and basically acting like the Texan off the Simpsons.

Exactly, not to mention how clique and two faced they are, anyone with a different opinion is immediately segregated and usually wind up banned.

Irony is i now know more about straights and honing than the vast majority, heh their loss. ;)

Badger & blade is fine, but i rarely frequent it, im mostly hitting the gym or working/resting nowadays.

Plus the older im getting the more forums and their inherent 'problems' are doing my head in.

Ocuk excepted of course ;)

There is an anti licence fee forum that seems to be occupied by people with an odd obsession that anyone who doesn't agree with them on another forum, must be employed by the TVLA (and they talk about getting suspended from the other forum as a mark of honour).

It's actually quite worrying that the members are quite so obsessed with posters on another forum, but I suppose that's care in the community in action.

Hah, get /b/ on a non-troll night and its a good laugh!

It's not so bad, until you see the disturbing pictures some post. Enough to make your mind go into meltdown. I've noticed the more time spent on that board, the more the mind corrupts.

I suspect some people would consider some of the stuff on here as a tad obscure. I try not to judge too much. Honestly. :D

The internet has a lot to answer for really. Years ago I would have recoiled from a lot of the stuff on 4chan and many other places. Now it's just 'Meh. F5'. My bottle of brain bleach hasn't been opened for years. :(

See this is the thing. The internet does not have any law. Even when the law is concerned, it's only for harming people in reality using the internet.

If I printed half of the pictures I've seen on them boards, and stuck them in a public place. I would be facing a heavy charge of some sort.

As it's an anonymous boards, anyone can post anything, and no-ones the wiser. Shows how the the cyber world is compared to the real world. I've always thought people have got major split personalities, you can basically say stuff on here that in reality you wouldn't. Because there is no law.

Didn't ocuk add a forums name to it's auto censor list?

whatda know it still is.

4Chan. Lets leave it there...

4chan is not at all obscure when you think of its popularity.

Here are some postable interesting ones:

http://www.asylumnation.com/asylum/ - various conspiracy theories, weird things etc
http://www.surrealmoviez.info/forum/index.php - great site for discovering obscure films
http://www.duncancumming.co.uk/forum/ - small community of chavs who graffiti trains and things. I only go here to laugh.
http://enenuru.proboards.com/index.cgi? - detailed discussion on Sumerian culture and history
http://www.heathenhideout.com/ - dark ambient, industrial music forum. Unfortunately the magazine, which I used to write for, has closed - but the forum remains mostly active.
http://xenophiles.net/ - Rehashing of the old /x/ sanctuary. The usual mix of good stuff and complete tosh.
http://www.adisc.org/forum/forum.php - adult baby forum. You can try and guess what that means.

I did once find a forum of people for extreme vampire fetishism. These people were very serious about it, and though I'm registered I can't remember the URL now.

A lot of these are register only, so you might not be able to casually browse.
