Heading to Sri Lanka in a month or so. Tip heavy culture like India and don't want the headache of always having to try and find small change.

Anyone got any tips for how to get one or two hundred $1 US bills in the UK before travelling? Seems like your standard bureau de change would be reluctant to do it/not have enough on hand but I may be wrong.

Absolutely appalled no-one (until now) has assumed the real reason is for making it rain in a strip club.

Are USD notes even useful in Sri Lanka? Would they not prefer rupees for any tips so they had actual useful currency without having to exchange notes?
Busted...

Yes, USD is commonly accepted in Sri Lanka. Many services are also priced in USD rather than LKR - the government has devalued LKR a few times so USD is more reliable. I wouldn't be opposed to tipping in LKR but I'm trying to avoid the hassle of constantly having to try and get change (i.e. move the hassle to before the holiday rather than during it).
