whenever i play a dvd or anything else on the lcd it doesnt seem to be as sharp as watching on a tv seems a bit pixeley and not as clear as dvd ?
any suggestions :confused: just using it as standard monitor ? the dgm ones

What resolution is your TV ? ...it's very likely just the image scaling, also it is somewhat dependant on what dvd software you use on the computer.
 
its because your watching an SD source on a HD monitor from about half a foot - its going to look shash. it'd look just as bad if you were watching a dvd on a 50" lcd from 2 feet away.

you can set up something like media player classic and ffdshow on your pc to upscale the dvd's which can make quite an improvement. if you google it you'll find plenty of guides to do this:)
