OC 3570K

I've never oc'ed a CPU before and think it's time I did. Ain't got a clue how to go about it though. I've looked through the other over clocking thread here but I can't make sense of it.

Can anyone point me to any simpleton guides? Am I right in saying I can just OC the boost part it so it only kicks in when I need it?

There's a couple of 3 ways to OC on tinternet. That's what I used, with help from the guys on here too! It's just time consuming

OK so I followed this guide http://club.myce.com/f184/easy-overclocking-guide-intel-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-cpus-329214/

I've set the offset to 0.030 instead of 0.050 in the guide @4.1

I'm running prime95 at the moment.

If just one of the cores fail on the test is that classed as unstable? does that mean I need to up the offset a little more?
