Hey,

I'm running a black edition 5000+ 2.6Ghz.

The multiplier is unlocked and is currently at 13x, in my old rig i upped it to 15x to reach 3Ghz, nice stable and cool. I'd like to repeat the process but my bios has no option to do so, my ASUS board had 'overclocking options'.

I also have no floppy drive so flashing my bios might be difficult, is there anything that i can use purely to alter the multiplier ?

Any help is much appreciated.

System:

AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition @ 2.6Ghz
BFG OC 512MB 8800GT 512MB
OCZ StealthXStream 600W
Zalman CNP9000 CPU Cooler
MSI K9 Mainboard
2GB (2x1GB GeiL 800Mhz)
Win XP Home
160GB HDD

Temps: CPU | 26 degrees idle |
GFX | 43 idle , 57 load |
System | 27 generally |

Not knowing anything about that board, are you sure there isn't a setting that says "Auto". Some options only appear if you set to manual configuration and is certainly the case on my P5K.

Again not knowing any thing about this board, have you checked the manual for flashing your BIOS. Most BIOS can be flashed directly via utility software without having to go through the flash utility via DOS.
