OC doesnt work

I just tried to make a purchase, but I just get this

Your card issuer would like to offer you additional online protection, but this is optional and will not affect your order if you choose not to.

If you have already registered your card you must answer the security question(s).

and it never goes to the next page, just waits.... Both cards tried, both working perfectly for other things. Anyone else get this? Why did they have to add this for?

It's not the shop that has added it, it's Visa/Mastercard. Most online retailers have this pop up nowadays. It's extra protection for you as it adds another layer of security. You can either sign up to it (good idea) or click on join later (or words to that effect). If you click on the last one then the payment should be processed as normal. If you have joined up to it then you have to answer a security question (you answer them when you sign up to it) and a password.
