Hi all

Just before I attempt to do my first ever attempt at OC, can I ask all owners of the above MB what you managed to get and what problems you experienced?? Also do you have any advice/tips that would be handy for a first timer.

I do have the latest bios already. I also have CPUZ and coretemp (may switch to Everest) installed. ;)

I hope that I have posted this in the right section as I know I could have also posted this in the MB forum, so apologies if I have.

Thanks

I have the P35-DS3P and can say it's a very good overclocker :)

It took my E6420 to 3.4ghz easily, it can go to a stable 3.52 as well but I didn't like idle temps going over 35C.

I fitted a Freezer Pro 7 to it (just - it's a tight squeeze on rev 1.1). All in all a good board, it was the first board I could have a real go at OC'ing with and it's come out ok :)

It's a very easy board to overclock on.

Just be sure to set your memory multiplier to x2.0 to start with.

I am totally new to this, but I appreciate your comment but I do not have an idea where to find this

I did attempt to OC to 2.7 but my temps went up to 80(under load) using prime95 & coretemp. Can I ask if it would be worthwhile up grading to Everest? as I am led to belive that it is more accurate.

I am also concerned with my temps, (may have a go at reseating the AC7). Unable to post screenies at mo as not sure which is the best way to do this.

Any other advice will be much appreciated

Also don't forget to set the PCI-E frequency to 100 or 101 else as you ramp up the FSB you get a no boot as at some point the vid card will fail to boot.
