hi all, got a abit aw9d-max motherboard and e6600. i think ive now got it stable at 3.4 Mhz but the volatges seem quite high and cant get it stable on anything lower, what do you guys think
vcore - 1.5000
DDR - 2.35
MCH - 1.68
FSB - 380 on PC2-5300

CPU temp is around 52 on load using orthos

cheers

no using a Tuniq Tower 120, bought it last week with an antec 900 case. sorry the temp was a typo, it actually hits 55. think its safe on air cooling?

cheers

still an amazing temp for that vcore... would be expecting 65-70 on air with that vcore... most definately safe...

cheers for that, was hoping it would be safe lol. ive been experimenting with oc for a while and only now managed to get it stable at that speed. maybe if i had higher spec ram, it could go even more

well, my e6600 would be a lot hotter than that... the e6300 i was playing with yesterday would do about 65-70c loaded at 1.5... but...

I am now playing with an e6400, and i can't believe how cold it is.. stock speeds loaded and the temp doesnt go above 43c, idles below 30 (which is a first in this room :D) at 1.5 it idles at 33c loads at 55c, at 1.6v ( ) its only 62c fully loaded.. and just to make sure i am using speedfan, coretemp, TAT and PC wizard... i know which cpu i'm keeping :D

EDIT: oh yeah, this is only on a zalman 9500... think i have just got a reason to get watercooling now... PUSH that voltage :)
