Hi all

Purchased a gaming spec PC from overclockers 2-3 years ago. Still incredible but has now developed a strange habit.

It hasn't been used for nearly a year, but now when I turned it on, it immediately restarts before bios. After it auto restarts it gets to the normal bios screen and then switches to some message about going into the bios and editing settings. Mentions raid from memory.

I go into the bios, do nothing, pressing save and exit and it boots into windows normally, every time.

No idea whats going on. Any ideas? MB Battery maybe?

Thanks

Try update your motherboard's BIOS first, assuming it's not been updated recently?

If it still persists, I'd try replace the CMOS battery as it could be on it's way out. Should last longer than 2-3 years but they can go sooner I guess.

Thank you. I did think the CMOS Battery too. If I keep power to the MB it boots fine. As soon as power is cut, it happens the next time I boot.
