Hi,

I have a 2500k running at 4.5GHz and it's been fine. I used to get the very occasional BSOD, maybe one a month at most with the 0124 error.

My settings get me through 10 pass IBT at maximum with no problems and "usually" it's fine, but it seems like it's been getting worse lately, I have counted about 4 BSODs this week since I updated my BIOS to F10.

So I was wondering if any of the OC Guru's could guide me as to my settings.

Spec:

CPU: Intel SB 2500k
MB: GB z68xp-UD3 (f10 firmware)
RAM: Corsair Vengence 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz

Settings:

Multi-Steps Load Line: Lvl 6
CPU Vcore 1.3v
CPU Clock ratio: 45x

Memory is set to 1.5v (recommended for the ram).

I can't remember what I changed originally so if I am missing anything of importance let me know. Most things are set to auto.

You can flash back to previous BIOS if you want,124 error is usually CPU v too low do add a touch, each bios will be slightly different in the voltage it needs or applies

I doubt it's the temps, it was stable running IBT at max on sunday...and it was a warm day. It's got a Kuhler 920 on it and it tends to keep the temps in check, the highest CPU temp (not coolant temp) was 74 degrees, but that was on one core and not for long.

All the BSODs I can remember where when it's not doing much. So if it's fine under load I can't believe it's temps when it's not really doing anything. But it was something I thought about too :D

Qpi/vtt is set to auto and it's apparently at 1.05v. Any idea what this would be at a stable OC? I was just thinking of setting it at that to start with.

Is a 1.3v Vcore about right or does it seem to high/low?

Higher temps requires more voltage to remain stable. You may have simply been on the verge of stability before the warm weather.

Stress tests aren't going to cause a BSOD if you are close to stable. Those usually occur during voltage transitions as load changes from low<->high.
