Firstly let me expalin that I AM STUPID..

I bought one of these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-038-OK&groupid=43&catid=1270&subcat=&name="Ultima%20OC%20HD%204850"%20Intel%20Core%202%20Quad%20Q6600%202.40GHz%20@%20QX6950+%203.00GHz%20Quad%20Core%20DDR2%20System

I got it from the courier and got all excited unpacked it and it had the letter saying please check all leads etc as it might come loose hence I did this straight away upon moving the system about placing it in the computer table thingy I have Im pretty sure I caught the little switch on the back so put it back where it wasnt before I caught it.

So thoguht I best read the instructions to see what that button is just in case its a self destruct button only to see it is a cmos reset switch !!! OH MY GOD so if anyone at OC can help me by telling me what I need to do to put the settings to the overclocked settinsd I would be extremely grateful can it be put back to how you set it by using the guru thing or do i need to use the bios either way im reasonably confident to do it on my own .

SO please help !!!!

lol :D and welcome btw and no claimed b***ocks by others btw. Annoys the hell out me.

Anyways, are you sure you have re-set the cmos? What clockspeed are you running as your system should be running 3GHz+

Easiest way (in Vista) is:

Control Panel --> System & Maintenance --> System. Then check clockspeed.

CPU-z is probably a better way but you need to download the app first.

Report back having checked this and we can point to guides stickies in this forum to get you back on track.

Just thought, if your MB allows for saving BIOS settings I trust OCUK have saved the settings they used for easy retrieval. Worth checking anyhow....

Hi thanks for the reply it says its running at 2.4ghz Im using XP and the uguru thing says its running at 2.4.

Im pretty sure I moved that button on the back when moving the PC.

CPUZ says the same so im pretty sure its been reset do the OC guys ever come on here? maybe they could advise what the original settings were?.

Tried pressing F6 or F7 (one saves the other loads, can't remember which) whilst in the BIOS to load saved settings that I would hope the OCUK team would have done prior to shipping.

Otherwise you could contact them on a webnote for advice or else re-clock the machine yourself.
