I had my core on 2.7 for a while and I'm trying to play crysis and its getting crippled so I thought I'd see if it worked any better overclocked a bit more, so I wacked up the core by 5mhz went to check it in cpuz and then looked at my ram and it seems really low, I dunno what it runs on at stock but I've got it at 333 in the d ram settings in the bios, when I put this up to 400 it wouldn't boot.

advice please

thanks

haha you'll laugh at me trying to play crysis on this relic

6800 gt overclocked :p (makes all the difference)
1 gb geil value stuff
asus a8n sli premium
amd 64 3700 +

Hmm yes, trying to make Crysis run smooth by overclocking your Rig is a bit of a lost cause. :o

Have you checked the beginners overclocking guide? I had an AMD/nforce board and was problematical to overclock, compared to the P35/C2* setups.

200mhz in CPU-Z is 400mhz in reality (you need to double it as you're running Double Data Rate memory).

Everything's spot-on.
