Hi guys, I am looking to buy an i5 3570k and overclock (I have been told 4.4-5 should be feasible?).

I think I will get the NZXT Phanton Enthusiast USB3.0 Full Tower case and I was wondering what you guys would buy to keep this cool? I am not keen on a full water cooled system as I don't know enough about computers, so I am relying on air cooling.

Apparently this case is good for air cooling and comes with 1x120mm rear fan, 1x140mm front fan and 2x120mm side fans.

Thats a nice case! Unfortunately I am drawn by the white case!

I looked at the 3770k but I will only be using this for gaming and have been advised to stick to the i5.

So those 4 fans keep yours at suitable temps? I am happy to pay more for overkill to make sure it stays cool!

3770k @1.28v

prime 95 3 cores do not exceed 64c 1 core hits 71c, think i can reduce voltage slightly and get temps down a bit. Great case also Phantek cooler.

1.28v was the first attempt at OC to 4.5GHz so hopefully get voltage lower.

Do you have the boost setting turned off for that ? as my voltage seems to spike to 1.4 at some points

I would like to know whats the best method to get the most out of my i5 and only about 60-70ish, any other pointers as last cpu i had was the q9550 lol its all changed since then lol

I wouldn't want 1.4v to be going in an Ivy, not unless I was under some heavy cooling (Custom water and without the IHS and the CPU block having enough pressure to compensate the lack of IHS)
Especially given the artificial cooling issue Ivybridge has with Intels hampering of using TIM rather than soldering the IHS on (At a certain point the temperatures will be pretty uncontrollable)

Also, you may want to remove the emote for your sig, it breaks the rules on signatures due to the length it results in (5 lines, limit is 4) :p

it seemed to be only when it boosted, and I have custom WC loop running what would be a sustainable voltage for an ivy seems to lower every time a new chipset is released.
