oc ing help please

hi all got my new rig going have had some funny problems already ,i couldnt work out why the multi was dropping down to 6x did a bit of reserch ,and found the problem (me not knowing how to disable speed step) ok thats now sorted and my next problem is when i try and change any of the cpu/ram values in the bios nothing happens ,i mean when i boot back into windows cpuz says everything is still the same??? is there something im missing here? if anyone has any idea on this i would be most grateful cheers martin
