OC Marketplace

Although you'll have to SPAM to some extent. I have been on here for nearly a year and posted where I feel I could contribute. Now I need to get 250 posts (irrelvant if they are good or bad) to get to see the marketplace. I think a fairer system would be 6 months as a member or 250 posts.

Agreed I was a member for almost 2 years before I had access, I read a lot but didn't post much unless I really had something to say. These days I put my nose in and if someone doesn't like what I say they just delete it.

Heck I haven't even been banned for 6 months ;)

Indeed you could! Just post lots of replys in MM purchasing everything,

though that would be rather costly! :D

so you're going to spam a forum you can't see, to get enough posts to see it?! :p

desperate calls call for insane measures! :D

Still, I'm not going to let you make me look silly :p (too late) so i am stating that that is what you could do to get 250 posts if you already had access to members market but your post count got wiped (like did happen). ;)
Although there would be no point in doing so  hehe

I've never tried it, no need to, but wouldn't the "Testing" forum be a way of fluking your post count?

Plus last time I knew posts in there didnt go towards your total anyway ;)

(that might have changed though)

wow, that stopped you looking silly. narrowly averted ;)

and you're right Nismo, posts in the MM don't increase your post-count

So are the rules going to be changed? It would be in the interests of the "community" if more people have access to OC Marketplace.

I think they are in place so people in the members market can look back at forum posts you have made to determin what kind of character you are so they can determin whether they want to deal with you, if you have no 'trust feedback'.

I would buy/sell from/to you in members market if you didnt have 250 posts, if that makes you feel any better :D :)

You obviously havent read through a thread I commented in once 2 years ago in which I stated I am a bad purchaser.

No, the rules aren't going to be changed. The Members Market is fine as it is and the rules are in place to have some more protection for people.

It's not going to change, it gives the moderators a chance to spot people who have been banned from MM for previous bad deals, it also encourages people not to sign up just to use the MM which had been the case at one point (there was a time when you would go into MM, see a user with 5-10 posts and as many deals).

The MM is an extra for the forum users, and a PITA for the mods as it is ;)
