If I buy a monitor from OC but then later decide to sell it (say via ebay) can I transfer the warranty to the new owner? Do I just need to provide my sales information email?

Also is the warranty provided by OC or the monitor supplier?

Thanks

No, you cannot. This is from a post in the Members Market:

1.0.2 -This is a reminder to everyone that sells items in the MM with a current OcUK warranty.

The Sales of Goods Act states that the right to claim a replacement or repair lies with the original purchaser of the item. This means that any warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser to another member that has bought it in the MM. Any warranty requests can only be fulfilled by the original purchaser. It is up to the seller if they wish to work as a third party to honour the warranty, but only the original purchaser can contact OcUK. Therefore, if you are going advertise an item with a current OcUK warranty, you must be willing to deal with any returns from the buyer. If you are not willing to do this, please do not advertise it as having a current warranty with OcUK.

Any manufacturer may choose to honour their warranty with someone other than the original purchaser, but that varies and is at the discretion of the manufacturer. OcUK is not responsible for manufacturer warranties.

OcUK can take no responsibility for second hand goods purchased from the members market either publically or privately and the MM Dons will not get involved in warranty disputes.
