OC problem

ok first of all... my setup

Abit P35
E8400
Mushkin Redline 8000 5-5-5-12
xfx 8800gtx
corsair 750w

the problem...:

when I oc... lets say 9x400 which is pretty much a standard oc
my gfx looses its clocks :S
it goes to around
mem 260
core 199
etc...

has anyone else experienced that...?
not only this but if I return to normal setup.. i.e 9x333
gfx doesn;t return to normal..
I must remove and reinstall drivers in order to recover

I was using 177.40
I am having another go with 175.19

have you locked the PCIE.

I think it was just a drivers issue

all ok with 175.19
