First id like to say hello!
Sorry for the newbie post but im having afew issues with my system overclocking
System spec:
Asus M2N68-VM Motherboard
AMD 64 x2 5000+ 2.6ghz cpu
Geforce gt 240 1ghz Grahpics card
6gb DDR2 800 ram
Samsung SH-B123L Dvd RW sata drive
300gig sata Hard drive
80gb IDE Hard Drive
400W PSU
Problem im having which is causing me a right headache is that when i overclock the cpu to 3ghz via the bios everything works fine, system runs like a dream and games run fine but my Samung DVD-Rw sata drive stops working or runs extreamly slow! and what i mean by slow is taking over 30 mins to read a disc, when i open My Computer it shows the cd drive there but if i click it or try to view properties it freezes My Computer. Strange thing is if i plug an old IDE cd-rw that i have laying around in this works with no issues...... as soon as i revert the clock speed to AUTO in the bios the Samsung drive works as it should again.
could this be a power supply issue??? is my PSU not good enouth to overclock which is drawing power away from my sata drive
Please Help!
