Hi,

I have an i5 2500k running OCed to 4.5 on Asus Sabertooth P67 cooled by a Noctua NH-D14.

Very pleased with the set up so far, but am contemplating replacing my RAM. A colleague at work did the OC for back when I purchased the components and he has since moved. I am not comfortable at all with OCing.

Currently I have 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black Low Profile, PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.5V in the main board.

Can i straight up replace this with:

16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Low Profile Jet Black PC3-12800 (1600), Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, XMP, 1.5V

echanging 2 modules for 2 modules with same stats, does that work? Am i better off just sticking with the current set up?

Any feedback would be appreciated

Thx

That should be absolutely fine, it shouldn't effect your overclock at all, it's only if you populate more ram slots that the overclock may have to be adjusted, but as you're swapping two for two at the same speed 1600MHz then there should be no problem.
