Been playing around with overclocking on my soon to be old PC,
when i buy a new rig in the summer hols :D .

Anyway got a AMD Athlon 2500+ Xp, Asus A7n8X-X, 512 MB RAM 1:1,2.5,3,3,7

Got it up to around 2000, stable temps around 47 Degrees

11x multiplier

FSb 182

Vcore 1.7

went into BIOS and changed multiplier to 12 and put FSB down
to 167 for a 2000 clock, however when i run Blend test the computer
starts to cease up I.e 2 second laggs when tryig to move and open up windows.

Is this a sign of instability or am i missing something?

locked as in locked Multiplier?

Hmm, lowered the priority from 10 to 7 in Orthos and its sorted its self?

Hi hobobob,

With the priority at 10 in Windows XP, ORTHOS is given total priority over the systems resources, so windows will become laggy and unresponsive as each command you give to the computer has to wait for a moment while ORTHOS is executing commands.

As long as ORTHOS doesn't detect any errors then from the information you've provided, I don't think you've encountered any instability :)

Hope this helps,

Banjo ;_;
