If you overclock a gpu and some time later within warranty that gpu fails. If you return it under warranty for a replacement card would you be refused ? can they tell you overclocked it and refuse you on that alone if obviously you didn't go completely crazy with the overclock and kept it within temperature limits etc.

Any overclock you put on your gfx card is done through software. So once you pull the card from your system and RMA it, there is no way of telling it was overclocked in the first place. That's how I understand it anyway. I'm sure if I'm wrong, people will let me know lol .

Hope so.

Doesn't a graphics card store its last configuration in separate memory somewhere that could be read ?
