Nice one, spotted few games being sold on oc.

But to be honest seems like half arsed effort.
All of the products OC sells are pick of the best stuff enthusiast would want, in all price bands.

Games section looks like it has been overlooked and mismanaged badly, or i am missing something?

In any case, i am looking for a job :)
Gaming section could rule, i know how :)

You mean them selling PC games?

Seems to me as if they're dipping their toe in the waters, testing the market and see if it's a viable entry for them. Very sensible, rather than plunging in and buying truckloads of stock, only to risk finding that nobody wants to buy from them later.

They seem quite competive price wise and forum members get free delivary ofc. Tempted by wolfenstien for 15 quid.

Yeah, its a start for sure.

console selection is put together better than PC section.

Don`t know Alex, how are you going to test waters with something that will not get you much exposure? PC selection is very basic, not overly competitive either.

Console selection might appear slightly better, but still a bit limited.

Dipping your toes, fair enough, i have dipped few times myself, but i have plunged few times too. Only plunges have brought me desirable results, dipping has only brought half way conclusions waste of time if you ask me, you are either doing it or not.

If they are using dipping toe way its going to go away as quietly as it has arrived, if they plunge, they will make noise and succeed or fail, but they will not fail form lack of trying, there`s nothing worst than trying something and failing because of lack of effort.

By the way, that`s just my opinion and experience that has served me well, i am not looking to offend anyone here.

What'll happen now if there is a steam weekend deal on one of the games oc are selling? Would we still be allowed to post it up?

10 PC games in total, half of which are WoW - exactly, wow! Definitely a very cautious toe in the water.

I would like to think that specials on Steam could still be posted as OK aren't in the download market. I guess the alternative would be to link to an interim website ;)

Andi.

there is NO money in the retail games market atm.
the margins are WAFER thin.
either your the cheapest or you don't sell. simple as.
it's not about support/service (like hardware) it's all about price now.
