Hey guys, just wondering what settings you use in the motherboard to reach a 4.2GHz overclock in this bundle package:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-035-OB&groupid=43&catid=339&subcat=

Just curious because my components are almost the same apart from the RAM.

Please can you tell me the:

Base Clock:
vCore:
vRAM:
RAM speed:
RAM timings:
RAM multiplier:
QPI multiplier:

Just curious because my components are almost the same, and I am wondering if it is worth swapping out my 1333MHz OCZ RAM for some 1600MHz sticks, or if it won't make a difference.
All the Intel pages say the i3 processors only use 1333MHz max. :S

(My RAM is running at 1333MHz at an 8x multiplier at the moment, to up the base clock, I need to reduce the RAM to x6 which slows down the RAM speed significantly).

On another note, does anyone know why my old 2x2GB OCZ DDR2 RAM got something like 7.0 in windows performance index thingy, yet my new 2x2GB OCZ DDR3 RAM gets only 5.9??? (The latency timings on the DDR2 were much lower than on DDR3 sticks).

Thanks.

OCUK aren't going to give you the settings.

What's the point in them charging for an overclocked bundle if they just give the settings away for free

darn it, was worth a try ^^

how about just telling me the memory MHz via a private message, thats all i need to know ^^

i would have ordered one of the bundles, but you only save like £5, and i didnt want the motherboard that was with the bundle i saw (msi one), so i ordered all the parts seperately and overclocked them myself.

just curious as to whether the i3 "works" when the RAM is set to above 1333MHz, cos the Intel websites seem to think it wont.. hence why i ordered 1333Mhz. but getting to 4.6 GHz on an i3 540 looks viable with 200 base clock, 1600 mhz memory, x8 multiplier rather than 200 base clock, x6 multiplier for 1200 mhz memory.
