hey ppl. new guy jason here, ill get to the point tho,

trying to overclock my system, cant seem to get the ram to overclock to well,

system specs are:

i7 920 d0 stepping / asus p6t se / 2x2gb g.skill ram 12800 1600,hz / nvidia gxt 260oc / wd hhd

my current (unstable oc) is at 3.6ghz, with ram at 1804mhz, if i underclock my ram it is stable, my bios setup is as follows.

oc xmp

1600mhz 9.9.9.24.2n 1.5v

cpu ratio 20
speedstep dis
bclk 180
pcie 100
dram 1804

cpu 1.225v
cpu ppl 1.9v
dram bus 1.64v

and disabled
cpu spreadspec
c1e
virt
cpu tm
speedstep
cstate

also ive been told to BCLK to 200 w/ the multiplier set to x18 = 3.6GHz w/ the x8 DRAM mult. = DDR3-1600. but then my ram is stock,
if anyone could work out were my problem is, would be greatfull cheers jason

ok cheers, so what would be better,

cpu ratiox20 bclk180 with ram at 1440
or
cpu ratiox18 bclk200 with ram at 1603(bios came up with 1603)

i always got told higher cpu ratio is better,

cheers for the fast responce

no im gna leave it ram stock, so

atm i have 20*200
dram at 1603
uclk 3208
qpi 7218mt/s

cpu v 1.3250
qpi v 1.33125
ioh v 1.2
ich v 1.2
