I wish to investigate why a win10 pro install would seemingly attempt to resume from sleep, fall over and reboot instead.
It has happened my machine a few times.
Event viewer shows
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
but I can't find anything anywhere in the logs or event viewer for the few minutes preceding this when the system was attempting to recover from sleep mode.
Where should I be looking to get more information?
-edit
last thing I did prior to the computer going to sleep, would be install a windows defender update using the automatic updates.
Then went off to watch TV, came back 35 minutes later, to find the computer asleep, woke it, it died, and rebooted
event viewer shows a successful installation, no rollback etc.
