OCCT is interfering with my bus speed and causing it to become unstable

I have the CPU clocked at 4.4GHz and the RAM manually set at its rated timings/speed. The system bus (reported by CPU-Z) sits at 99.98MHz with all this, and doesn't budge.

Tolerates a 1hr run of IntelBurnTest and Prime95 just fine, until I run OCCT. With it just open, the bus speed in CPU-Z is jumping all over the place, up to 101, and of course, it becomes unstable in a OCCT run.

I'm stumped. I can't think for the life of me what's going on with OCCT.

Anyone have any insight?

(Note: system I am referring to is in sig)

Try some older versions see if that helps, it might just be an incompatiblity problem with your particular motherboard. There was a recent Coretemp version that caused some PC's to slow down to a crawl, it can happen occasionaly with apps that access the motherboard clock generators etc.
