OCCT vs Orthos

I'm testing my q6700 overclock and I have been using orthos on the small fft test. At 3.3GHz (330x10) it passes ok, so I moved up to 3.4GHz (340x10) and my pc crashes after about five minutes. Oddly, I also tried OCCT and it passed a two hour test.

Is OCCT a more reliable stress tester than Orthos? I know it's easy to just use the tester that passes but I can't understand why it passes one and not the other.

Any help would be appreciated.

All stability tests have a slightly different approach to it, it just happened to be that Orthos small FFT did something your CPU didn't like after 5 mins, while OCCT won't do the same thing or just hasn't yet.

That's why it's useful to do more than one stress test :-)
