Hi all

not sure if this thread is in the right place, if not i appologies!!:D

Basically i have oc'd my sapphire 5850 to 850 and 1200 at stock volts, i done this as when i first started playing mw2, there were certain parts of the game which involved fast movement in a jeep and firing the turret gun, at this particular part of the game i got lines across my screen during the game, i put it down to the cards stock clocks, so i oc'd it, put it through vantage and all seemed fine, it handled vantage in the end better than it did at stock.

Played mw2 last night and during another "fast" part of the game which again involved shooting whilst moving, i got the lines back, not as bad as before but i was shocked to see them come back.

I ran afterburner whilst playing, the gpu temp never went over 60 whilst gaming.

Also the volt are @ 1086

Any advice as to what i could do would be great.

MW2 is notoriously unstable. Check here for possible fixes http://www.mapmodnews.com/article.php?story=Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-2-Errors

I went from a 8800GTX to a 5850. Just before my 8800GTX died I had lots of issues in multi-player on certain maps. Single palyer was always stable and is still 99% stable with the 5850.

Even with a driver clean and new graphics card, multiplayer is still unstable, ie causing the game to freeze and the PC to restart. I have no issues with temps, no overclocking, and all the latest drivers. Every other game is 100% stable and even Furmark doesnt stress the GPU.

The problem is with MW2. It just so happens that those problems appear to be worse with ati.

Ah ok, thats good to know, i updated to 10.4 driver on Sunday and thought that might be the cause, as it was fine oc'd with previos driver.

Crysis has been running ok along with dirt 2, it's just certain parts of mw2.

Thanks mate.
