OCD, what's yours?

When I was a child I used to get anal about having my bedroom door shut at the correct angle, not being able to go to sleep if the clock had the digit 3 on and making sure the door was locked when I went out the house at least 8 times.

Now I'm chilled and the only thing I don't like doing is going to sleep on my front, even though I end up waking up in that position.

For some reason I have to put the volume of my TV onto an odd number, not even - odd!

If it's even, it's either too loud or too quite, the odd number sounds just right. (lol)

My own "OCD" is spelling and punctuation.

Grammar itself doesn't bother me so much as I know a lot of that can be down to regional dialect.

Spelling and punctuation though?

I hate when people think "than" is "then" or they think "brought" means "bought" for example.

It's for its (as in possessive)

Not acknowledging the difference between "they're" "there" and "their" or "were" "where" "wear" "ware". *rages*

When people think words that end in "s" must have an apostrophe. I don't understand where people pick this up.

It seems about 80% of the people on this forum have this problem, they love the fact that they can't use apostrophes.

But shhh, you're not allowed to bring it up to them, as they generally rage and rant to cover their embarrassment. :D

Oh yeah, and people not realising there's a difference between "quiet" and "quite". I've seen people say "quite quite" for "quite quiet" a number of times, though that's one of the more forgiveable ones being the difference is the positioning of the "e". :p

If I rotate right, I must rotate left to equalize. Whether I am sat in a swivel chair, or standing, walking etc. If in a pool I roll forward, I must roll backward, and so on. Weird...
Pictures on walls must be straight or I get quite hazelnuts about it.

What happens when you want to rotate left or right for a specific reason?

I check my alarm clock is right before I sleep many, many times. I even stare at it when it is clearly on, making sure it's correct.

you guys have got some issues.

i suggest you all unlock that door you have been checking run around outside screaming and get yourselves sectioned!

My gf has this thing where she won't eat food upside down - like, for example, a chocolate biscuit.. the chocolate HAS to be on top.. your top teeth go into the caramel on a twix not the bottom ones.. etc. And it bothers her to see others doing the same.

She told me this, and I was like.. "That actually makes sense." So now it affects me too.

Toilet paper goes over the top not underneath.

Can't leave desk till song finishes, even if that makes me late.

Can't enter house till song finishes on mp3 player, even if it's raining and cold and it means I stand outside for 3 minutes before going in.

Must sleep with a duvet or something on top of me, regardless of how hot it is.

The RIGHT cds go into the RIGHT cases damnit.

I probly have more.

I have to do the same but it doesn't ruin my day if I get it wrong.
For instance today I ate one of my ham & tomato sandwiches and the tomatoes were under the ham and not on top and it didn't taste the same.
Eating chocolate bars upside down would definitely not be right.
It also riles me when I see people open a pack of crisps, sweets etc upside down.

I have to do this aswell it annoys me everytime i go to a subway. They make the sandwich with the salad side on the bottom of the bread so i have to turn it over to eat it, but then the bread is the wrong way up.

I also can't study in my room unless it's spotless and everything in it's correct place. I also have a thing about lining things up, like remote controls have to be parallel to one another.
