I have overclocked my cpu before, however never my GPU. And since BF4 is around the corner, i was thinking of overclocking my 7870. Now, i have managed ot get my clocks at 1100 and 1300 mhz (1000 and 1200 mhz stock) without any voltage tweaking. But i want to go further, which means i have to tweak the voltage. Could anyone give me any tips on voltage and stuff? Like how much voltage should go up by?

Thanks.

1.3v is considered the safe limit and you want to be around 75-80 degrees under stress testing.
1. you can do the standard up clocks by 25Mhz untill you bluescrren then add another increment on the voltage untill its a bit too hot then back off a little untill your happy

2. (not a safe way to play but its your call) you bash you card to 1275Mhz with 1.3v and work back untill your stable through a haven run or similar then back the volts off untill your under 80 degrees. if it crashes back off another 25Mhz and try again.

Option 2 is faster but not safe or best practice.

3. have a look at what others have managed and start there, if stable push the clocks higher if not increase the volts a little googling suggests Core clock to 1265 @ 1.294V has been stable.

At the end of the day stability is key and its the fine tuning that takes longest, also some games will need more volts than others, BF3 is one of them.
