Hi,

Currently doing a mild overclock of an E6600 @2.7 (300x9). Being a bit of a overclocking newbie, how far do these usually clock on stock volts - 3.0? my mobo doesn't have an option to increase volts to the CPU. I have an arctic freezer pro newly added to help keep the temps down.

thanks

whats keeping you from trying :) worst case would be that you have to reset Cmos otherwise it would hang somewhere or auto reboot if it doesn't get enough juice.
These babies will do 3.2ghz atleast with a minor volt increase.
I had one

Well settled on 315x9, 333 wouldnt post - limitations of the motherboard sadly i think. Shame as temps are not exceeding 55c load on a low fan speed.

Hi
iv'e been loosing my overclocking cherry resontly with an e6600 aswell, but luckilly my motherboard seems more complient. I'm stable at 356 x 9 , 3200 mhz with 1.35v. i had it boot into windows at 400x9 @ 1.4v but on a blend test with orthos the memory crashed and temps were high. At the weekend i'm going to lapp the cpu and heatsink and with my new 1066 mhz ram rather than my old 800 mhz hopfully get it to 3.6 with memory at 1:1 :D
