Ironically for an Overclocking forum, this is this first time I've ever asked anything relating to the subject of overclocking.
My rig is as follows:
Intel Q9300
4x1gb Geil Evo Black Dragon DDR 3 1600
ASUS P5E3
ATI 4870 1024
ASUS Triton 70 Cooler
Corsair 620W Modular PSU
I'm running XP 32 but I'm about to get Windows 7 64 to allow me to use the full amount of RAM. To coincide with this I also want to further overclock my Q9300. It's currently running at 3ghz which was an easy overclock but know it can handle more. Has anyone had any expereince OC'ing this chip and have any settings/help they can offer?
I know my way around bios but can't say I'm entirely sure of all the ins and outs of OC'ing, especially of how to achieve the best results.
On a side note, anyone know the max that I could expect out of this chip with standard cooling?
