Been working a little bit on my first proper OC.

So far i've got my Venice 3200 running at 2.475 (275*9)

Memory is down at 176.8 at the moment, but thats because the memory got a bit limiting pushing anything around 220fsb, but rather then up the volts i thought i'd drop back and see how far the CPU wants to go.

Addition to post: CPU-Z reports the CPU as 1.57 - 1.60vcore , i'm assuming this is due to the AUTO setting in the bios.

Theres a few things i'm confused about though.

The vcore adjustments are using +0.0** (where ** is some numbers) or -0.0**. At the moment its set to auto, am i safe in assuming if i use anything other then AUTO, a + or - it will simply be + or - from the stock voltage?....

Its an Epox 9NPA+ Ultra Mobo, with Corsair XMS 3200 2gb (dual matched).

Current timings on memory 2-3-3-6 1T, which it will happily do upto somewhere between 215fsb - 220fsb. Havnt yet touched voltage to the memory as of yet, but this could well be on auto to.

Also i have no idea to what the HTT frequency is.

Any suggestions, tips, comments or links to pages with helpful info would be great.

I don't need the basic stuff, i think i'm quite happy on that front, but i don't think the current guides about (or at least the ones i found thus far) really cover the current methods needed for OC'ing A64's, though i'll be happy if you can prove me wrong and point out some good guides.

P.S. Its been running games, aps, downloads etc for the last 4-5 days and has'nt crashed, or rebooted yet so i'm quite confident it will go quite a bit more. Just need to fill in a few ????'s before i carry on.

Have been toying around with it, and i find the auto settings adjust the volts better.

Its hitting 1.65 - 1.69 when i'm gaming on auto. This is running at 250*10 (Memory at 208.3 2-4-4-6 1T). Played a few hours of BF2, and had a couple of crash to desktop on the initial load, but thats before i was even in a game. Played fine.

HTT can't be set indepently as far as i can see on this board.

Quite happy the memory is able to keep a relatively good timing, but i'll work on that yet.

Don't think its wise for me to push much further, the cooler isnt the most powerful, but its quiet and the thats why i purchased it. Currently hitting 50-51C on load, ie few hours of battlefield, sits idle at 43 - 47C, but thats largely due to the quiet fans and the hot weather, so i'm not worried at all, shutdown set at 60C.

Not bad OC though, 25%.
