Well, I have my lovely little G0 Q6600, and have been running it at 3.2, even though it goes up to 3.6 qutie happily. Last night I jsut started wondering if there really was any need to be OCing just yet, so decided would put i back to stock and see if it felt slower.

Thing is, it was a nightmare getting it stable again at stock settings. Had to keep changing voltage, specifying FSB manually, and finally thought I had it all runnig ok, but when I loaded up a game, within minutes it reset itself.

Now, I am sure I will get it runnign fine at stock again, but has anybody else had this kind of problem. I remember my e4300 doing some similar stuff in the past.

Also, is there really any point to OCing these things yet? Even when encoding I have not noticed anywhere near 100% on all cores. So is it best to leave it stock til there is a need to OC?

Nah, was late last night when I tried going back to stock. Had thought about clearing cmos, but was just too tired to be messing on inside pc.

And yes, am questioning the need for OCing :), but also whether or not there is a noticeable difference on the quads between OC and stock.
