Having received my kit yesterday and unboxing it today, I've just put together the Overclockers i7 930 bundle which comprises of
Gigabyte Ga-x58A-Udr3 motherboard
I7 930 @ 4ghz
3 x Patriot viper 2gb Pc3-12800c8 (1600mhz) tri channel ddr memory
Noctua NHU12P SE2 fan
And having just installed win7 and ran prime in blend test after 2 mins the temp has shot upto 100c on all 4 cores.
I applied half a pea sized blob of the paste which comes with the Noctua, which is supposed to have instant burn in time.
Its worrying me that this is way too high for what the i7's can take.
Ive two noctua intake fans at the bottom of the case, two exhausting at the top, one at the back ( in line with the cpu) and two noctua fans connected to the cpu heatsink blowing air towards the back of the case.
Im running a coolermaster Cosmos 1000 case, with wires all tucked behind the back side door and with the side off it still shows 97c on all cores..
Help please!
