Hi guys.
I have been looking at different ways to put my new system together and had been thinking about buying an i2600k bundle with 8GB ram and then adding another 8GB to upgrade.
It seems there are a couple of flaws in my plan however. Apparently HT is turned off in the pre-overclocked bundles and upgrading beyond 8GB breaks the overclock. Whether that means the overclock stops working or OC just won't support it, I don't know.
So my questions are, just how good are these overclocked bundles and does 16GB cause any major overclock issues?
The system I have been hovering around is a i2600k, Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P, 16GB Kingston HyperX Grey and an Antec 920 cooler. I keep changing my mind about the mainboard and the decadent side of me wants to try the Sniper.
Feedback welcome as always. Posted this in here because it is more about the overclocking side of things than my actual decision on parts.
