Hi Folks,

Is there a best bios freq setting for the above Gfx card? This is my first PCI-E card so am unsure about how to get the best out of it. At the moment it isset to auto (100).

Will a change in this help with any overclocking or ingame performance?

Thanks

Matt

i dont think the freq makes that much difference although may be wrong.

Try upping the PCIE voltage to JUST 0.1v over the default and see where that gets you.

You only need to adjust the freq if you get stuck overclocking your CPU. It sometimes helps if it is set to 101-105, for example. It won't make the graphics quicker though.

Ok then, If I up the freq to 105 and the voltage up by a bit it might help me overclock the card? Will it have any affects on the card itself, eg, too high a freq could damage it or too high a voltage could damamge it?

I've been warned not to put my PCI freq over 110 as it can damage things, mainly files. I don't know whether there is any truth in it or not though, best to be on the safe side.

Some people say upping the voltage/freq will help with overclocking the card whereas others disagree. Only way is to try yourself.

Thanks for that, one more question? How do I overclock the shaders? I only have the option of upping the core and the memory? Is it something to do with DX10? I have win xp home installed.
