OcUK 980 ti differences?

Hi.

I recently bought myself one of the OcUK 980 ti's. I was just wondering, how are these cards different to the other ref designs that are for sale? Does OcUK have any input on the technical design of them, or anything along those lines? Are they improved / modified? Only reason I ask is because the card I received was Manli (who I've never heard of) branded and aside from the fact I bought it from OcUK, there are no indicators that I'm aware of that point toward it being an OcUK card.

Its a standard reference design.

Given that, why don't they sell them as the brand that they are as opposed to using the OcUK title?

Same reason any retailer does exactly the same thing with any number of products.

No bugger has heard of no name brand, but they trust the retailer enough to give it a whirl.

Makes sense. I only hope that the trust I have placed in OcUK is well...err placed. In all honesty, so far it is. I cranked The Witcher 3 up to 4k last night and had a superb time.

One other question while I'm at it; Is it normal for the ti's to not be fitted with a backplate? From what I understand, their usefullness is limited, however I'm quite vain and prefer my naked boards to be covered.
