OcUK and game stocking?

This gets posted so often, I simply dont think OcUK could compete in the Games market unless they offered cheaper or free postage.

no PS3 stockage at the mo though :), or DS stockage - but a DS tends to be a more girly thing. Most of OcUK's customers are male

Bloody Jersey :(

Why bloody jersey? You buy from whose reliable and whose cheapest, why would you have a problem with jersey?

I dont use jersey because they are unreliable for games. If I want a game I go somewhere that offers free next day delivery and not only are cheap but usually try to price match the best deal.

Not only that they have a section in the forum encouraging people to challenge them for price matching.

That gets my money almost every time ;)

I don't think they would have the warehouse space either. It's only a little place, relatively speaking.

Because no tax there so a lot of companies move their online warehouses there. Music stores, supermarkets etc.

If they did have tax prices would be a lot higher on most sites and because of that we could order from anywhere. Yet there are 2 sites which stand out because they are based in Jersey and can offer low prices.

Yes I know all that but he said bloody jersey like it was a problem or an issue. As a consumer how is that a problem?

Why would it bother him that a company can offer him games etc cheaper than anyone else with free delivery no matter where they are based.

Because it would be great if other places could compete with these prices I guess. I would like to be able to walk into a shop and know I am not paying a higher price than what I could online. I know that you will always find prices cheaper online but I hope you get what I mean. I walk into a game shop and see some games which I would like to buy there and then but then I stop and realise if I wait I could have it cheaper. Takes the fun out of walking into a shop and buying a game. But then I am poor lol.

All that would do is make everywhere more expensive!

I doubt it. Other stores just can't compete with jersey store prices. Jersey stores haven't been round for ages and prices didn't go down when they started.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Just it would be nice if stores actually in the UK could offer these prices.
