Hi there

Memory prices are increasing and are doing so very fast. Last night prices shot up by 12% and IC's are also going in shortage, this will mean further price increases, by next week prices could have increased by 25% especially on value lines.

However at OcUK our purchasers are ahead of the competition, if you look throughout our online store you will see several memory modules with the following in their description:-
***Stunning Low Price - OcUK Exclusive!!***

What this means is that OcUK should be the cheapest in the UK on products with this in the description and the even better news is we should be able to hold these very low prices for approx 2 weeks or as long as stock last. However do not wait around too long as once stock has gone prices will increase anywhere between 5-30% so act now as prices may carry on increasing further, what is for sure is that it is looking unlikely they will drop back down now for at least a month or maybe a lot longer. If past experience is anything to go by prices normally tend to just carry on increasing with products going up by as much as 100%.

If you find memory cheaper elsewhere in the UK that have product in stock then email [email protected] and I will attempt to resolve the situation. :)

For more information see our Memory Section We have several thousand of special offer lines in stock and all manufacturers have special deals so have a browse through all our memory manufacturers to find the best deal for you. :D

For now happy buying!! :D

I also wanted to get some G Skill but it looks like there is a big faulty batch there was a thread on here that seems to have disappeared about G Skill people went into OcUK and RMA'd and there was another guy RMA'aing some at the same time, I'm going to OcUK tomorrow as I need to pick up 3 lots of 2 gig packs just can't decided which to get now, don't look like it'll be G Skill at this rate. Although it would be nice if some people posted who have had good results to balance it out.
The 4400 Corsair is now out of stock

We have lots of Corsair 4400 Kits in stock!! :)

dam those prices are great, so will the prices eventually fall back down within a month or so?

i was thinking bout getting the Corsair 2GB DDR XMS4000PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3 (MY-094-CS). Would it be better to just pay the extra £30 and get the ballistix 2gb set?

or is it better to go for this G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 (2x1GB) CAS3 Dual Channel Kit (F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ) (MY-008-GS)

ive got my 3200 winnie running at 2.6ghz atm, with a mem divider so ideally something that will do ddr520 (fsb 260) would be good

At the moment nobody knows, but its looking like a mess, things have been messed up bigtime. The fact is OcUK's prices are so cheap even distribution are buying from us. Everyone is saying prices will now rocket up massively over the next month, then stabilise, maybe drop a little and then gradually increase until the market becomes flooded with lots of memory and prices will start to fall again probably to all time lows towards the end of Summer.

Or what may happen is prices will rocket for 2-5 weeks and then drop back down again to what they were, its to hard to tell but the facts are OcUK is the best source in the UK at the moment for memory, whether it be value based or high-end memory, OcUK is no.1 :)

Right well seeing as its unsure whats happening im gonna buy something, gibbo what would you think is the best out of these for running ddr520mhz?

Corsair 2GB DDR XMS4000PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS3 (MY-094-CS)
Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR PC4000 Ballistix Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864Z503) (MY-066-CR)
G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 (2x1GB) CAS3 Dual Channel Kit (F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ) (MY-008-GS)

Corsair is the most reliable, fact and at the price were offering, its a bargain!!
Also don't forget the G.Skill HS kits which use the Samsung modules, they are supposed to clock well too, but I would go with Corsair and we have a price which is £50 cheaper than most other UK places. :D

Can't comment on G.Skill or Crucial really for reliability apart from the fact we sell a lot and only have a minimal amount back.

Have OCuk stopped stocking Geil ONE TCCD? The link on the website doesn't seem to work anymore.

Unfortunately GeIL end of lifed the memory, real shame as it was excellent stuff at a great price. :(

Hi there

OcUK bought enough stock too keep its prices down throughout January and for the whole of that month OcUK was the cheapest Etailor by far in the UK for all memory products form all manufacturers as we stocked up massively end of Christmas.

Fortunately our stock pile is now lowering but prices have levelled back out again for now and prices have come down from what they were in mid January. Pricing stability seems OK at the moment for DDR, some prices have dropped and some have increased.

DDR2 pricing however is shooting up massively and will continue to do so throughout February.....

OcUK have no mislead as everywhere else in the UK put their prices up, its just fortunate that OcUK has a superior purchasing team to our competitors and as such were able to keep our prices down when others are increasing.
