I've just reinstalled this game but can only play after 11.30pm on weekends really.

See you all in there on Friday?

Fired it up last night and had a go on the empty server as it's ages since I last played.

Using Vista x64 though and it's quite sluggish with my Conroe at 3ghz and an overclocked 8800gt plus my X-fi doesn't work right. Looks like I'll have to reinstall XP for the weekend:)

ah thank you!

as discussed in the "is it legal" forum, don't suppose anyone has an ISO they could upload for me? i'd be more than happy to take photos of the case/disk/cd key to prove i own it fully!

you know you dont need X-fi on to play bf2, im running x64 as well runs fine

in what way is it sluggish ??

...snip...in what way is it sluggish ??
Every 20 seconds or so my hard disc springs into action and the framerate gets choppy until it goes off. (1280x1024 settings all on high with no anti aliasing)

S'pose I could turn off file indexing and see if that helps.

As for the X-Fi I'm not that fussed, I'd just rather that was processing the sound to keep the load on the CPU to a minimum. I need every advantage I can get.
