I got the pre-binned 7900x guaranteed to run at 4.8ghz a few years ago but haven't really made much use of it until now.

Is it normal to get a difference of 20c between some cores? The cpu is delidded and I believe 8pack used kryonaut. How is the IHS reattached, is it silicon glue like others have used? Could unevenly applied glue when the IHS is reattached cause this big difference or is it just a normal skylake-x thing?

Running 4.8ghz on all cores at 1.225v I can still hit 98c max temps in realbench and cinebench r20. I have dropped the AVX offsets from 3/5 to 5/8 and it doesn't make much difference.

I have some conductonaut lying around, how easy would it be to delid a delidded cpu over the stock glue, do I still need the delid tools and would I improve the big temeperature difference between cores using conductonaut?

I have a 3770k that was also pre-binned by someone else and came completely delidded, I applied conductonaut and the lid is only held on by the socket clamping force and that is running great, very small difference per core temps and the package overall runs quite cool. I know it's a completely different cpu, but I'm wondering if I did the same with the 7900x, is it worth the effort?
