i have it set up on an win7 pc with totalmedia theatre 3 platinum my dad is a little gutted as he went out and got this software to use it and now for some reason we get sound but no picture it may be the drive i dont know.

here is the specs and setup

win 7 32bit
intel core two quad
ati x1950pro latest drivers
acer moniter vga only may be prob?
etc etc

i was told that even going through vga it should show a downscaled pic but we get nothing.
we are trying to play the dark night we have no other blu ray disk to try.

cheers all

ummm i dont know wouldent total media theatre 3 platinum still work if it was software? i can try if i can get a trial version.

wouldnt of thought the drive would cause it, would be pretty confident its a software setting thats not quite right.
does it play normal dvds fine?

yes it does play std dvd would it be the graphic card its an ati x1950pro pcie card but like i said we have had to run it via dvi converted to vga to go into moniter so does vga cause this kind of prob?.

the card you have is HDCP so shouldnt be an issue with that. and it shouldnt be an issue with the monitor i wouldnt imagine alsong as you are not setting the res too high for the monitor. you will probably find its something simple like a tick box in the software, but as most people use powerdvd i think its going to be hard to be 100% sure without using something we can check the settings against.

You're not the only one with probs like this.

I've still not mananged to get mine working. Only thing i can think of is my X1900 gfx card...slightly older than yours.

No help to you I'm afarid.

Actually try cyberlinks BD advisor which you can download on their website - tells yo where the shortfalls are. Although it insists my monitor isn't HDCP when it is!

hi thank you all so much for the help well you lot who recomended power dvd is right works now ? weird tbh.

we went to the shop and they kindly changed it for power dvd woooooot.
