just realised this morning i had only an agp card for a pci-e only dfi mobo i picked up from the members market recently, so 6800gt pci-e on its way now hopefully - thanks!
 
What do you guys reckon of the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ processor?

I am currently running a single core Pentium 4 2.4Ghz and was planning to upgrade to a C2D in the near future. Would the 3800 provide be a good alternative at a low price?

Not really in the same league. Go with the C2D.

The board will arrive in a plain box, I think no manual or leads and you may get a back plate.

Thanks. The one I have my eye on is almost half the normal price. But it normally includes a break-out box for HDTV and component video out, etc. The description says it's included but I suspect that is just a quick cut-and-paste job. So I was wondering what the chances of it having that adapter were?

Thats a tuff one 50:50 chance, I have not bought anything from the clearance section, give them a call in the morning.

I asked OcUK about the OEM motherboard and had this response:

So be careful if buying and ignore the description which is obviously just cut and paste and not accurate if it mentions additional items.
