Just created one for a laugh.

Currently called "OcUK Console Save the Cheerleader Textchat room". I think anyone who is in it can invite anyone else. Don;t know how it works too much but thought we could update the names of the rooms as we create/delete them here?


Current Rooms:

"OcUK Console Save the Cheerleader Textchat room" - General crap
"OcUK SF4 chat" - General SF4 crap
"OcUK SFIV Champions League" - PS3 SF4 League crap
"killzone 2 room" - Killzone 2 crap

how do you join a room ? and more to the point my friend list is still quite empty. What's going on there then :p

It's got more to do with the fact that it remains open while playing a game, all you have to do is tap the ps button to look at it. This was useful for example when trying to decide who should be in what squad and what class everyone should be as the opposing team could hear our voice comms.

Not everyone has a PC right next to their PS3 so running back and forth from the PC to PS3 just to set up squads would be a bit tiresome.

It has a huge flaw at present, that being the rather short word limit, but if they fix that i can see me using it all the time. Tis quite good just joining the OcUK SF4 room and dropping a message in to see if anyone wants some fights. When you send a message on it everyone in the room who isn't looking at the chap app at the time will get a notification window with the message in it, another thing that IRC wouldn't be able to do.
 
Really useful addition IMO, especially if you have a room set up for people you play online with regularly, makes it easy to get everyone together at once :)

Can you create SF4 Champions League room and send everyone in the league an invite? Also re-invite me to your SF4 room. I deleted yesterday, whilst messing around.

Good idea, won't be able to get around to it till tomorrow i imagine though as i'm heading off to town for a friends birthday in 5 mins.

invite to the ocuk room sent, anyone in the room can do it :)

edit: can i be cheeky and get an invite into the league room even though i'm not in the league?
It just seems that's the most likely place for the better and more regular players to hang out. Plenty to learn in there.........
