As a dedi I have access to was not getting used too much and from a thread made a few weeks ago I know there are quite a few on here that used to play this, I decided to set up a server.

It has 12 slots and is completely standard (Standard money/map rotation) running at 100 tickrate. I have rcon access so I can kick griefers/hackers from it without the need of sourcemod etc. Just report them to me and I'll do it remotely.

IP & Info:

OcUK 1 - 217.168.150.203:29016 - Map Rotation (all maps), 12 slot - Hosted by Frenchtart and Link to Insanity

Any suggestions on how I can improve it, let me know. If it becomes particularly busy I can always add more slots if people would like me to. It was either CS 1.6, Condition Zero or Half-Life DM. I chose CS 1.6.

Enjoy :)

CS 1.6 is this the free to play one? (I'm out of touch with all the versions of CS) If so I will be up for getting back into some CS. Been far too long. :D

Unfortunately, no it's bought through steam. However it's pretty old now and can be bought through steam for about £6. However you can add the serial key of 1.0+ (Half Life Generations Pack for example) to your steam account and gain access to CS 1.6 for no extra charge. That's what I did...

I'm confused......I have Half Life/Opposing Forces/TFC/CS on my Steam list. Is that CS 1.5 then if I haven't bought a version of CS?

Sorry for sounding like a n00b, but I haven't played CS for 6 years. :o

lol. No worries. If you have Counter-strike in your steam list then it will be version 1.6.

It'll say Condition Zero or Counter-Strike Source if it's one of the newer versions.

CS 1.5 is unavailable on steam as far as I know, so yes it's safe to assume you have 1.6.

Well I'm online and up for a laugh, however when I try to access a server steam says the server is not responding, do I need to do something with Steam/KIS 2009 to get around this?

It's done this for pretty much all servers I have tried in the last few weeks so I think it's something to do with a security setting/KIS setting.
