Those who like the dark theme and prefer Chrome may find this useful. I found out where to edit the script to disable the 600pixel posted image width. Just open (with Notepad) script.js found in the folder location

C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\ggfneddijlpcjpkhfoepncpimjeodkbe\1.0

And ctrl+f for max-width:600px I changed it to 99999999px :p

Save and open Chrome, browse OcUK ¬_¬

An additional tweak to get a Bookmarks button with menu of bookmarks (so you can disable the bookmarks bar) is to add the switch --bookmark-menu to the Chrome shortcut.

Nice find, will try it out now.

EDIT: Seems to be working just fine. Thanks.

Also noticed, rather irritatingly, that the whole page is loaded in blue first, then quickly flicks to black. Not always, but it's kind of distracting. Did I do it wrong....?

I've also found a good portion of extensions I liked in Firefox although still not some key ones that will sway me to switching completely to Chrome 5 just yet (FireFTP for example and BBCode).

The ones I am using are:

adblock doesn't quite work well enough imo, it seems to half load things and then hide them at times

The initial blue load is normal - I think it's just the way Chrome does it.

AdThwart works fine for me using the easylist subscription, tried other adblockers like adblock+ element hiding extension but thwart works better and is easier too.

Did you install the same version I linked to?

It will be in C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\ somewhere, if you've only got a few extensions it will be easy to find as the opening lines to the .js will show the extension name.

You need to install the extension before that folder appears.

The blue flashing thing is too annoying for me, I don't like the black enough to put up with it. That better gmail extension is nice though.

Smooth scrolling extension too but you absolutely must customise it to your mouse wheel :)

Is there any way to fix the blue flash? :(

Yeah, tried it again today and it's still too annoying to use.

I'm not sure if there are different versions of the black theme, but in this one, at least on my monitor, the new post icons are not yellow enough to tell if they're new easily (more grey) and the text (for thread titles) is a little too dark on the background to read easily.

In short, great idea, very nice but needs some work.
