OcUK Dead Pixel Check?

Morning Guys,

Just wondering if OcUK offer a service where they will check a monitor for dead/lazy pixels before they ship the monitor to you. (obviously expecting you to pay more).

When I asked OcUK this they said they didn't, and this was about a month ago...wish they did though :/

What happens to the TFTs they find with dead pixels? The manufacturers won't take them back so they'll be stuck with them

Plus they will have then been opened so customers won't like buying one already opened.

This seems about right to me ^.

If the manufacturer wo't take them back unless they have a number of dead pixels, what will OCuk do with them if they are found to have some?

If you have several dead pixels they will have to replace it, although they may refuse to do it, if several of them are not in a prominent place.

If they wont accept the return based on the dead pixels, you have long distance selling laws on your side, so make sure you check for dead pixels and return it within 7 days for a refund.
